Just how long can metering wiring go? [RE-wrenches]

Hi Todd,
  We've run several TriMetric meters over 400'. We've used 18/5 twisted pair 
wire for all but the "sig" line. For that we used a separate #10 THHN (all 
of this in conduit, of course....)
