Microsine inverters [RE-wrenches]

We have 10 microsines on a 1 kW research and demonstration array at BCIT
in Vancouver, BC using Solec 100 Watt modules that has been operational
for a little over three years. The system is connected to a data
aquisition system which monitors the array continuously.

One unit failed recently. We have not replaced it yet and I can't tell
you why it failed.

Otherwise, we are happy with inverter performance. The inverters turn on
at very low light levels.

The array is mounted vertically and is facing south. It produced about
560 kWh per kW peak during 2002. We are going to flash test the modules
when we replace the failed unit.

However, the microsines do not meet current UL or CSA requirements and a
new installation would not be legal now.
