SPAM: RE: 600 VDC Switches [RE-wrenches]

As an attachment to my last posting.
    Hi wrenches:
As expected, 20 modules caused the inverter to de-rate. The inverters were
located in an interior room inside the barn, and the space would get hot
during the afternoons. With the addition of 4" fans on the heat sinks, we
were able to stop de-rating.
We have found that 18- 165s with an SB-2500 is a cost effective,
efficient, reliable system. The STC rating is 2.97 Kw, which is just lower
than the SB-2500 is capable of handling, but seems to be a good match.
Sure, some other systems seem cleaner fits, but cost per watt is
relative to pricing and installation labor, and is a factor of more than
just inverter maximizing.
I would be interested in hearing other wrenches favorite system
configurations.
