lemmings [RE-wrenches]

Hello Bill,

We've all been burned over the years by not-ready-for-prime-time equipment
being touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread. But I for one am
totally happy with the Solar Boost MPPT controllers. They work as advertised
for me, both UI and off grid. And this is the only "new product" that I've
never had a failure with. Imagine that, a product that does not require
multiple callbacks and replacement at the installer's expense. And since its
been in the field for what, 2 or 3 years now, its safe to say that "beta"
testing is over. I don't need lots of hard data to know it works in my
applications.

Yes, lemmings we have been. Case in point and nothing against Outback here,
but aren't us wrenches doing just that with the FX2024? I don't care how
much hype or initial demonstration of quality surrounds the Outback FX2000,
I'm not going to recommend or sell it until it demonstates continued
reliability in the field. Don't get me wrong, it very well will be a
wonderful product. But for the sake of my bottom line and my sanity I can't
risk doing the guinea pig thing anymore. FX Beta testers out there, please
feel free to try to convince me otherwise.

regards, Kirk
