MC connectors, warranties and PV system life [RE-wrenches]

Black UV wire/cable ties will last about 5 years (if you are lucky) in an
outdoor environment. They become brittle with exposure to heat and sunlight
whether they are "UV resistant" or not.

When I was doing broadcast engineering we ended up changing to good old
black electrical tape for true long term securing of coax to antenna
mounts. At the worst in about 7 or 8 years, the first layer degrades and
peels off, leaving another fresh wrap under it. This may not be a practical
method for securing MC connectors and wire, but I thought I would offer it
to the list. It remains difficult to come up with a wiring scheme that will
last the 25 to 50+ years a PV will be pumping electrons.
