Oh yes, STC rated kW, which for Uni-Solar and ASE it's pretty count-on-able,
IMO. I'm not brave enough to offer AC kW pricing at this time and simply
explain as "favorably" as I can that whole efficiency/actual output thing to
customers that want to know. But if I did, I'd use PTC rated module wattage
with the PTC inverter percentage and have higher numbers. For non-CA
wrenches, those numbers are at this link and Bill B has told us how those
numbers are arrived at (from the manufacturers mostly from what I
understand). http://www.consumerenergycenter.org/buydown/equipment.html
(i'm not getting any of the consumerenergycenter.org site to come up at this
time, so try this link later if still down)

To further clarify, the low number below was pre-CA sales tax. The high
side number reported did include sales tax.

Peter,

Just to be clear, when you're talking $7,250 per installed kW, you're
talking STC DC rating, right?

Hi,

Curious, are you pricing per kw rated on module, stc rating on module, or
delivered ac to grid?

Thanks!

Hi Keith,
I don't mind posting our prices. Let's all get a price war going! (or
something) Can't wait for the juicy rebates to get going again, but I guess
we have to.

$7250.00 per kW is our lowest-priced (crystalline modules, flush roof-mount
over comp. shingles). It just goes up from there according to module
choice, type of roof, adding tilt legs, etc. This is for licensed
electrical contractor installation (C-10). We would classify ours as "much
better than average" system installations and include all permitting and
system documentation in that pricing.

At the other extreme, historically, the high is for BIPV products like
UniSolar shingles on multiple roof faces. Including tear-off, disposal, etc
this type of installation runs as much as $12,200/kW.

Now, doesn't everything cost more in Hawaii anyway?

Please post the results to the list if you get many off-line.

Hello Wrenches

I am mostly looking to the California crews for approximate cost per KW
installed in your neighborhoods. I recognize that you are doing more on
a daily basis which would allow you to lower your installed cost per
watt. I am personally trying to get this happening on a larger scale in
Hawaii. We don't currently have the incentives that you folks have with
juicy rebates. We also have shipping costs and higher costs of living
here to contend with.

You can respond to me off list if you desire or share it in this forum.

I am looking for numbers in the grid tied arena.

Thanks for your input.
