When we run into this kind of hard headedness from a local utility when
using the Trace SW inverters,  we program them for float mode and show the
homeowner where the little "sell" button is located on the operator panel as
we are going out the door.

We demonstrated how easy this changeover was to the judge and members of his
Utility Regulating Committee who visited one of our installations during
hearings in which the utility was fighting to prevent net metering laws in
this state.  They got the message.

Keep it simple to sign up and at little or no cost, or homeowners will do it
without contacting anybody.
