To Daryl Thayer's question I would ask some others as "food for thought".

What do you do after you have heated all of your dump loads?
How would you use this power at a later time when you badly need it?
How about let's say six months or a year from now?
How would you use this power miles from your site?
Do it all at efficiencies at least equal to grid intertie and certainly
batteries?
Relegate your fossil generators and fossil fuels to the dump heap of
history?

There is a practical and workable answer to this all too common problem.
It seems that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, United Technologies,Proton
Energy and many many others
are embracing it and spending billions on development and they are not even
in the RE business. Perhaps they are just "uninformed"?

Could be on distributors shelves in short order once people begin to use it
just like we all did with PV when it was still an
infant industry.

I think we all know what the answer is.
