wanting good soft ware to calculate shading [RE-wrenches]

Hello to all
Does anyone know of a good program that will calculate
the amount of shading and even the effect.  If i
calculate the amount by Trig it is very tedious.  Once
calculated I want need the performance effect of
reduced beam do to shading.
