help chossing inverter [RE-wrenches]

Hello and thank you
Recently I asked for help on how to start a 7 hp pump
(100 amp 240 volt start surge) from the solar-UPS
system.  First attempt of mine was two SW5548 they did
not work reliably.   Several suggested the OUTback 
FX3648  stack of three or four.  I lost the job to
another RE and he installed a soft start on the seven
hp pump.  The system with the soft start is less
reliable on starting than the straight direct start. 
Why I do not know.   

I got the job back, and will install an Outback Quad
Stack  ASAP.  I give and update when it is installed
and working.
