Fellow Wrenches,
Here's a heads-up on a couple of magazines of interest.

1. Electrical Contractor is the magazine of the Big Boys, as it's the
mouthpiece of the NECA. The new issue has a short feature about PV. Of
course, they want mainstream contractors to pick up a piece of the action,
and the tone of the article reflects this. It's a useful read for Wrenches
in some areas (CA?) to help understand the Competition. Also has a bit on
NABCEP from their perspective. The article is at

2. I have ranted about the need for a PV industry trade journal for years.
HP is wearing too many hats to really speak to industry while also serving
end users, DIYers and wannabees. Green Power Magazine
http://www.GreenPowerMagazine.com may fill that niche. The first issue is
just out, and I'd say it's too soon to tell. First issue is a little light
on hard content, and some of the stories are dated, but the potential to be
a good rag is definitely there. Some of us may even have contributions to
make to future issues.

3. OK, while I'm at it, here are a couple of e-mail weekly RE trade
newsletters to check out:
    http://www.solaraccess.com/newsletter/weekly.htm, and
    http://www.solaraccess.com/newsletter/businessedition.htm for a business
edition of the same mag;

   http://www.sun-enews.com/ for a new weekly journal right here outta Santa
Fe.

All of these are free to subscribe to, whether print or electronic.

How about somebody checks out all of these new zines and reports back on
which are best?
