Educating Electrical Inspectors [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches,

I get a few calls every month from electrical inspectors all over Oregon
asking me questions about "this photo-VOLTIC system I had to go inspect and
didn't know what I was looking at."  Then they ask specific questions about
code and trade practices.  This morning I had a call from one wanting to
know where and how he could get formal training.  The State no longer
provides training and the inspectors are on their own to find it.  I
currently serve as President of OSEIA and believe this presents an
opportunity for the industry to reach out and help inspectors.

Questions:
How are inspectors being trained on PV in your state(if they are)?

Do you know of any existing training programs designed specifically for
inspectors?

Who would potentially qualified/experienced trainers be?

General thoughts?
