Steam Engines Anyone? [RE-wrenches]

Hi folks,

Here's one from left field.  A customer want to know if he can use a 
corn-fed steam boiler-engine to power a back-up generator when needed and 
use the boiler 24/7 for his domestic and in-floor heating system.  This is 
WAY beyond anything I know.  Is he nuts?  Anyone have any experience or 
know anything about steam?
