TOU metering in PG&E territory--part too [RE-wrenches]

Small wonder you're confused, the last time this subject came up we got
responses varying from $0/mo. to $10/mo. Probably because PG&E's rate
structure is pretty damn confusing. From what I can make of it here:
http://www.pge.com/tariffs/ResElecCurrent.xls
...there's a daily "Minimum Energy Charge" of $0.16427, which works out
real close to $5/mo., but then there's an additional "Meter Charge" on
top of that.

My co-worker, Doug Bath, has been on TOU for years. He reports there's a
$5/mo. Meter charge.
