According to the DOE the average home in America uses 20 kWh/d and according to the CA CEC the avg. home in CA uses 22 kWh/d. These averages take into account all homes combined and there is a lot of sub-standard housing and poverty in the U.S. that brings the number down. A typical PV customer is going to be in the middle to upper class and likely using more energy.
