Hi Bill I just couldn't let you off with all of that. Many of those "folks"
are suffering from Post Traumatic Shock Syndrome. They  don't have a
choice. If they were living in your exalted Suburbia, they would be on the
street or living under a bridge.  We're trying to help them have a life.

Many others choose the off-grid lifestyle because they beleive in it. They
see the autmobile centric suburbia for what it is: totally unsustainable.
We're trying to help them too.

As for the third world, I encountered many well meaning but  essentially
arrogant Americans like yourself. If you ever actually visit a truly rural
setting, why not try listening for a moment? Are you that afraid of
learning something new?
