Same thing happened with us re Shell. Quite a change
from the Siemens days when a returned phone call was a
momentous occasion! Never a technical or performance
issue, just a question about their poor judgement in
selecting our particular distributor.
Other than that, Kyocera has made a number of passes
at us, but I'm not interested in selling their modules
(due to a number of factors). As a result, most of
the modules we have sold and installed are BP, but we
have never had any contact with BP directly, just
their distributors. Main issues: price and
availability of 120+w modules.
I would say that the overwhelming majority of
manufacturer contact has been re inverters (Trace
issues and SMA learning curve). Other than that, we
are pretty self-sufficient and need little direct support.
