Wrenching in L.A. [RE-wrenches]

Jay / Marko:

PG&E drilling the disconnect and locking in the on position is the
stupidest thing I have ever heard. It serves absolutely no purpose and
possibly creates a hazardous condition. Looks to me like some brain
dead engineer at PG&E is trying to mark his territory.

The customer can still shut it down just shut the inverter off with:
1) The branch circuit breaker,
2) the main house breaker, or
3) The dc disconnect.

On the other hand during an emergency the obvious disconnect is locked
in the on position.

If you have any questions, or if I can be of any further assistance,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best Regards,

John Berdner

Its what PG&E did to mine, drill it that is.

nice, sharp drill bit and a drill to boot, one can make the disconnect
lock in the on position. Maybe Woody would like this custom option, eh
Graham? How about a nice big IBEW sign with a circle around it and bar
through it mounted at the driveway entrance?
