The "anderson" type switches are available with UL recognition but often
only that means only that the plastic material was tested as suitable
and maybe a temperature rise test was completed. It is very different
than being "listed". I strongly advise that the battery disconnect
should be externally accessible in a safe manner to allow shutting down
in the case of an emergency.

Check out the OutBack PSR "power system rack" - it will hold up to
twelve group 31 sealed batteries along with the 175 amp breaker and
three additional PV disconnect breakers. This allows all of the DC
breakers to be grouped togehter and allows disconnection of each PV
array individually. It works well with the AEI's built in GFP system.

The PSR is ETL listed as a photovoltaic accessory item under UL1741. We
also offer an outdoor kit for the PSR that meets the rain and sprinkler
test and a siesmic zone 4 kit. There is an optional mounting bracket
that allows the AEI multimode to be mounted on the side of the PSR -
eliminates all wall mounting and the problems with conducting inverter
noise into the house.
