Lets all forget PV [RE-wrenches]

Travis.
I have seen and investigated this allot.
I was approached at a local home show about it and it is a MLM scam.

Anyone who knows the physics of wind turbines knows that there is almost
no useable power at a wind speed of  8mph. You either have to have a
huge capture area or a much higher wind speed than 8 mph.
That means that the wind turbine has to be at least at 30+feet in
diameter. As the power increases as a cubic function of wind speed our
5kw turbine is now producing 40kw at 16 mph or 320 kw at 32 mph. That is
a little over 425 horsepower.
And all for just $8000??
And no vibration!
Probably not after the initial crash as it lies resting on the lawn.

I am sure some people will fall for this. Along with their roof and
perhaps the entire house and barn and anything else in the path of this
wind nightmare.
If they would just think of the wind as similar to water flow in a hydro
unit. Since the total swept area of the blades is similar to gallons per
minute and the wind speed is equivalent to head or fall the only way
they can do this is with a very huge blade set relative to the generator
or violate the laws of physics. I don't think they have done either.
