Lawrence's original point about production of hydrogen by PV being
distributed production is well taken. Imagine a station that produces most
of its own product with PV. Of course they probably would tap the grid in
foul weather, unless storage were worked out a lot better than it is today.
Nevertheless, that cuts out the central distribution and pollution as well,
a goal worthy of further exploration. Also see American Hydrogen
Association at www.clean-air.org (be sure to get the hyphen in or its a
different org) and "The Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Letter" at
http://www.hfcletter.com/
