Trace C60 Rating [RE-wrenches]

I think field experience with the C-60 says if you put 80 amps through it
for a short time it will not hold up like the C-40 at 60 amps for a short
time. Design philosophy changed from one version to the next. Yet another
need for a standard.

The C60 supposedly can handle 80 amps for "very short periods." Are you just
arbitrarily derating it's 60 amps continuous rating to 48 amps?
