Trace C60 Rating [RE-wrenches]

This was not really a derate, but instead U.L. wanted them to handle a
"cloud edge effect" increase in amps of 50% (just as we are required to
design all conductors and over current protection at 156%). In my experience
the C-40 is much more robust than the C-60...

Bill. I seem to recall when the C40 was just being introduced , someone
from Trace's engineering staff telling me that the C40 was actually
rated to handle up to 63 amps but derated to 40 to comply with UL.
I have two on a hydro as dump loads that regularly see sustained 50 +.

Don't recall who the person was.
