power factor and Iota chargers [RE-wrenches]

Anyone have any info on Iota chargers' power factor? I just checked out
an old Todd 30 amp charger that isn't performing well. It is 10 years
old, only putting out about 10 amps into a battery at 12.4 volts using a
Honda 1000. When the Honda 5000 is fired up it delivers about 18. I
measured the peak to peak of the Honda 1000: +124 and -135 with the
charger on. +160 and -174 with the charger unplugged. RMS was 112 both
cases. Would like to recommend an upgrade to an Iota 45 or 55 but
wonder if the results will be worth the trouble. (a Honda 2500 is
available for the larger load of a bigger charger).

Any thoughts?
