Jeff,

Face it, energy IS politics.

Right now dubya and his oil buddies would rather go fight another war for
cheap oil than aggressively making amerika energy independent through the
use of renewable energy. Do you honestly think we would be oh so concerned
and meddling in the mid east if it wasn't the biggest carbon energy dump
on the planet??? DOH!

If no one on the globe used oil anymore the price would radically drop and
these "bad guys we need to kill" (because they are tired of us
manipulating their governments to get their natural resources) wouldn't
have any money to "threaten us with their weapons of mass destruction".

How you can support renewables and choose to ironically also support our
current GOP (Gas, Oil & Plutonium) regime is beyond me. I voted for Nader.
