AES MM500 [RE-wrenches]

John - we have seen a few inverters with controller problems that are now
resolved that had your symptoms. The root cause was the hand addition of a
diode to a surface mount cap - the heat or flux made the cap fail over time.
The good news is that the software catches the problem and nothing bad
happens.
This will not be a problem for any current-production units.

The 1000 watt inverters are working very reliably. We have had problems with
one mm5000 failing out of the box about a week ago. It was producing 65 VAC
RMS in stand alone and running resistive test loads at that voltage.

Kids:
I have tried several times to find info on the web regarding the AES MM500,
without luck. Anyone know the web address for this?
On a related subject, is anyone using the AES inverters? How are they
working out?
