Doug,
We've been following that development as well. They had sent us some
preliminary info awhile back. Before I posted my question here last week,
we contacted SW to see if we could get pricing or detailed install info so
we could make some cost estimates. We were told that it's still undergoing
testing and no further information was available at this time.
I think that their concept has promise for the Whisper turbines, and as you
mentioned, it's designed as a tilt-up. From the sheet that I have, it has
a single 28' long, 430 lb. upper piece. The delivery location must have
the ability to off-load the tower, and access by semi-trailer is
required. A wee bit more than I want to deal with for a 13 lb Air machine,
though!
Thanks for the response,
John Raynes
