PV Combiners (was Trace Charge Controller Ratings) [RE-wrenches]

Folks:

The Outback combiner is also not UL listed but I do see and ETL sticker on
the outline drawing. At least I could not find a listing anywhere on their
documentation. It does show that it uses UL listed breakers, but I doubt
that covers the entire assembly. What is the difference between ETL and UL?

I really need that UL listing to allow me to submit plans without worrying
this detail will come back to haunt me. How much will it cost to change
devices mid-project?  I don't want to know.

This leaves the Connect combiner as the only choice as far as I see. Am I
forgetting any options?

How does UL listing requirements affect a device I build myself? I will be
using all listed components.

Thanks again for the spirited discussion.

William
