SQ pumps on mod sine wave [RE-wrenches]

Grundfos SQ pumps are extremely electronic. The power is rectified to 
DC then inverted to variable frequency 3-phase AC in order to control 
the motor speed and to get very high speed.

Anything that uses this much electronics cannot be depended on to 
always work right on a modified wave inverter. I'm not saying it 
won't work, but I would suspect interference. Even if it works OK 
initially, remember the waveform varies with battery voltage and 
total load so it may goof up tomorrow, and under any conditions, the 
load tends to run hotter and be less efficient and less reliable.

I've heard the SQ pumps work fine on sine wave inverters.
