Propane solenoid question [RE-wrenches]

The gas line branched before the solenoid, with the secondary line passing
through a manual valve. You cracked the valve open just wide enough to
start the engine, without flooding it. After the engine came up to speed
the solenoid opened, allowing full flow to the engine. At that point you
shut off the manual valve.

In this particular situation, the client had just purchased this property.
The generator was set up by the previous owner, who used it for prime power.
It had gone unused for over a year, and now we had to get it running for
backup charging.

Because it is possible for the client to forget to shut the manual valve,
the intention for a safer system can be shortcircuited by inattention.

Not to mention that its pretty darned touchy getting the choke right, and
with a tired P.O.S motor in the cold very frustrating.

Enjoy the Sun!
