Dual function inverter [RE-wrenches]

I have one for all of you: Considering the available options, what is the best, least problematic, user friendly, kind, clean and courteous grid inter-tie-able inverter with automatic battery back-up approved by the CEC?

I know this is a loaded question, but William Miller mentioned the virtual improbability of
balancing stacked and grid-tied SW's, so what is left? I've sort of written everything but
the SW's off as not ready for the real world!

Opinions please.......

Matt
