WELDING CABLE - NEC CHANGE REQUEST [RE-wrenches]

Hello Wrenches,

The request for a change in the wording, for the next NEC, is 
completed.  The request is aimed at allowing UL Listed welding cable to be 
used for battery interconnects.

The proposed wording would also allow cable smaller than 2/0 to be used in 
battery enclosures.  This can be useful, especially when a small DC system 
is center tapped off the batteries to run limited loads like cell phones, 
answering machines and 12 volt DC appliances.  The telecommunication 
industry often uses much smaller cables than 2/0.
