Ww have many customers here in Colorado  with solar power in Modular 
 (Me Too), and what we recommend is changing out the blower motor to a 
Dayton Wattsaver motor. Whse cost is around $100.  mine uses 2.8 amps 
A/C  when running, and as a bonus the Dayton engine is more efficient, 
quieter, and will last much longer. Also have the furnace switched to a 
standing pilot vs: an electronic board, then even Modified Sine 
Inverters will work fine
