Hey Joel,

I've only seen one instance and I'm working on this system at present. 
Three series strings of nine panels.  Only one panel in the middle of
each series string was damaged.  The foil leads coming into the j-box
from the cells were blowen off their connector lugs and the cover of
each effected box had a deeply melted imprint of the wire that used to
be connected to it (visable from/thru the outside of the box).  A lot of
carbon in there too.  The other 26 panels were okay.  Go figure.
