PV Installer Certification Program [RE-wrenches]

Despite fears spread by paranoid members of the PV community, most utility
employees support or are neutral about PV on the grid. Specific obstructionists
are dealt with on a case by case basis ;-)

Monday morning lite utility good news. San Diego Gas & Electric has no written
specs for PV interconnection. They simply require (1) a 1-line drawing review
(2) UL listed products which can include field certification and (3) a manual,
lockable fused or unfused disconnect between the PV system and the grid
(typically in a NEMA3R enclosure - usually Murray or Butler Hammer).

The "Question Authority" generation are now the authority and will come under
question by a new batch of "don't trust anyone over 30"...and the beat goes on.
