TC cable [RE-wrenches]

Graham,

Unfortunately, the UL identification you show is a recognition, not a
listing. This is a subtile but very important distinction with UL. A fully
UL-listed product (wire, conduit or whatever) can be field installed
according to the manufacturers directions. A UL-recognized part simply means
that it has been through some form of UL evaluation that does not need to be
repeated when a company wants to list their own product and include in that
listing other parts (like a flexible conduit).

Since Siemens asks the installer to select the proper equipment and
recommends that flexible be used, there is no way to fulfill both requests
with existing equipment.

This is not to say that the Heyco product is not perfectly suitable for this
application. The Siemens product was not listed with this product as part of
its listing. I would continue to use it unless an inspector says otherwise.
Siemens needs to get their act together on this issue and help the installer
out.

Thanks for the info and keep up the good work.

Bill.
