Thank you, Sir. No offesnse to you at all Michael. You might be
somewhat more receptive to such things had you had a family member
directly in harm's way and hadn't a clue about their whereabouts or
their safety. Perhaps you did. We all react differently. I'm lucky so
far, it turns out. A great number weren't. And I am moved by their loss
and still worry about what's next. Sorry. Actually, all I've done for
the past day and a half is worry. If I felt like working right now, I
would. But I don't. I'm too drained to concentrate on that. Maybe
tommorrow.

I worry even more after having spoken with a good friend and client
today who just retired from American Airlines as one of their most
senior pilots. He is still quite active within the APA [Airline Pilots
Assoc.] There are things about this deal that we are not hearing about.
It's probably just as well perhaps. But, aside from the horrid human
dimension of things, the effect on this event will be mightily impacting
all of the air carriers as profitable enterprises in ways you can only
imagine right now. These are economic issues that will, in turn, ripple
through an already weakening economy and cause all of us problems - and
shortly. A collapsing economy would affect everyone here in some
significant ways I think, even with respect to "wrenching." Right now a
great many of the airlines are teetering on the brink. If they start
keeling over, we are in some deep doodoo as a vital society. This
episode very well could hasten this. Also, don't expect to be taking too
many pleasant air excursions in future. Those days are over. But, of
course, there is more. There is always more but I am finished. I wish
you all well.
