SW Efficiency/ PWM Angle Adjustment [RE-wrenches]

I'm trying to get a handle on this.
If an inverter is installed in a building with a lot of inductive loads.
Is the SW suppling power at about unity PF and thus "correcting" the PF
in the building, or would the SW need to run with a PF of opposite
sign.?
Or is the SW synchronizing with the PF in the building?
