It's always easy to agree with Jay when he agrees with me :-)

Jay makes some good points. Other Wrenches have pointed out the danger of coming behind
other people's work. Once you touch it, it's your work. So before starting a project,
carefully note existing conditions in writing. Go beyond CYA. Do a punch list for the
customer. You'll need the list anyway to do your estimate.

Put a postive spin on your customer interaction. Yes, Mr. Allthumbs. You made the right
decision to use renewable energy. You will never regret it. Sure, I can help you. Let's
see what you have in mind. Well, you've got the right idea, but I think I can help you
improve your system and save some money and frustration down the line. Our company has
been doing (solar, wind, etc.) for umpteen years and has a lot of experience. We can
help you think through your needs so that you end up with a trouble-free renewable
energy system that works. First of all, what is your budget for your system?.......
