batteries in garages [RE-wrenches]

Jerry Caldwell (not I) wrote in about the inspector who wanted battery terminals
18 inches above the garage floor.

The inspector is wrong. I would say to the inspector, "I'm not sure that I
understand what you are saying. Installation instructions from battery
manufacturers show batteries installed on the floor. An important reason why we
use sealed batteries is because they can be installed safely in equipment rooms
and occupied rooms. Please show me in the Code where it says that sealed
batteries have to be raised 18 inches off the floor."
