Carl,
I get regular inquiries about roofing-integrated PV, because it's one
darling of the green media. I have yet to have a good application for it.
Many reasons:
1. Most of our clients are off-grid.
2. New Mexico has no economic incentives for grid-tied PV, so it's purely a
green thing.
3. Most of our roofs are flat, with parapets and canales for summer rains.
Roofing shingles require very specific orientations and slope angles to be
cost-effective.
4. They are much easier to integrate into new construction than retrofit to
an existing home.
5. They are better suited to grid-tie than stand-alone.
6. They are better suited to building-integrated green development of entire
subdivisions (with planned street layout, building roof orientations,
prewired attics, etc.) than individual clients.

At least, that's our reasoning...
Besides, your Canon stuff's in New Zealand, and it's product that isn't
marketed in the US (I think). I can't imagine any US dealer paying overseas
shipping for something that has no support.
