Dave,

Manuel has the right formula and right answer. All he has to do is believe the 
calculation. Many people think torque = power but it does not. A torque 
without a RPM is a useless number in determining power or horsepower. His 
generator will require T (torque) if it needs 1 HP at 1800 RPM.  T=5250 x 
HP/RPM.  T=5250 x 1/1800 = 2.92 foot-pounds of torque.
