Greetings Bob,
Wisconsin is really loose. Most areas of the State that I work in do
not have inspections and Licensed Electricians are not a requirement.
In some municipalities within the state, you have to be licensed OR have
a licensed electrician sign off on the job. I have never had a job
inspected, though some of my grid-tied installs have been
inspected/approved by the utility. I don't know that lack of
inspections/license is a good thing. On the otherhand, I can see some
real problems with mandating that all RE installers be card carrying
electricians. I sorta like the speciality license idea, depending on
what it actually is. How would it work? Kurt Nelson
