question/battery-grid charging [RE-wrenches]

Thanks all who responded to my quiry.

I think the best for these folks is the SLT mode.  I just forgot that it actually shuts
the inverter off.  This will do the best of both worlds, especially this summer when we
should get some outages here in CA.

Fortunatlly with your help I sized the wire large enough to handle at least 25 amps with
only 4% loss. With their house, that is more than enough for their light loads.

The battery bank is new, 8 x golf cart ( yea I know its small but I didn't size the
system).

I'm not worried about the "loss of natural power conditioning or circuit breaker
tripping" to quote the manual.
