Manufacturers on the list? [RE-wrenches]

Since every manufacturer is bound to have a tech department, how about we offer the privilege of posting to this list to ONE designated tech support rep at each company. That way if some company wants to BS us with niceties, it will have to go through the tech support interface and they would be instructed beforehand to filter messages to be sure the information is relevant and on topic.

I'd hate to see the list get bogged down with a bunch of postings justifying poor customer support and the like... the intention here is for sharing of technical information, although threads about the lack of openness and honesty from "some companies" have been circulating. Seems like  products with problems are first a tech support issue, and later (if those avenues fail) it becomes a PR issue.
