To answer my own concern re the test:
I sent the same message to Mark Fitzgerald, who is developing the
certification program. His reply is below. He has indicated that it's no
problem to pass around the draft that Blair has offered.

Allan:

Thanks for passing this along. It is an important concern, and that
is why the exam is designed the way it is.

While the one that is available is a draft, it is also a sample of
what to be prepared for. There is no problem with people seeing it
because there is not just one test. There is one format with an
infinite number of possible questions. Sections 2-4 are based on
scenarios, each with different information and different
specifications. The test is an effort to make sure that practitioners
know how to interpret information, read spec sheets, understand the
NEC and other codes and practices, calculate angles/wire sizes/etc.
Section 1 is general information and there are hundreds of questions
already collected for this section. Because of the variety of
questions and variations, having one test will not provide any
advantage in taking the certification test, as there will be little
if any overlap in questions.

We did this to ensure that no one could have advanced knowledge of
any one exam.

Again, thanks for the heads-up, and please pass along this information.

Best regards,

Mark

>Mark, I thought you should be aware of this. Maybe it's a nonissue. Allan
