Coupled to these possible concerns is another one which troubles me a
bit, that being how well the nascent PV grid-tie programs for mainstream
America work out. What with the numerous observations about finicky
inverter product reliability [etc.], you have to wonder at times if a
lot of this commotion isn't a bit premature. If this PV industry of
ours doesn't perform well at that, this could open doors for massive
co-option of that mismanaged potential. After all, there are tons of
prospective clients but not that many of us. Am I wrong? If this gets
bungled up, the big boys will sniff out the problem really soon and
figure there's a nice opportunity for them there too. Or, they can just
point to that experience so as to deligitimize the entire effort.
