I went looking a while ago and was not able to find anyone that carried
"scotchcote" any ideas.

I just spent a day with Roy Butler, a good time, helps to recharge the
batteries...
I turn my back for a day and you wrenches go nuts with mail.

Still catching up,
Bob

	Windy and All;

Don't know what prices on that glue-lined shrink tubing are like where you
buy it, but I think it's way over-priced. Here's how to make your own:

Before slipping a regular section of ordinary shrink tubing over your
connection, coat the area where the shrink will fit with a thick layer of
Scotchcote (a 3M product). Slide the tubing over the Scotchcote while it is
still wet and shrink away with a heat gun. The Scotchcote will bubble and
ooze out the ends of the tubing while it shrinks, effectively sealing it
against all environmental elements.
Regular shrink tubing comes in colors, while the only glue-tubing I've
seen is black. Having a good stock of all sizes of glue tubing on hand will
set you back a wad of cash, while a stock of regular tubing is inexpensive,
colorful (always helps to color-code multiple connections) and can be used
without the Scotchcote when intrusion of the connection is not an issue.
The Scotchcote is also handy for sealing connections made with electrical
tape, or where shrink tubing wouldn't work. Don't get any on yourself or
your gear, it's permanent!
