Heating and Cooling [RE-wrenches]

I also can't help with cooling but for heating I would recommend a "Monitor
Heater"
(NOT the TOYO brand (cheap copy)) They use kerosene, direct vent for exhaust
gasses and intake air.
Power consumption is around 380 watts to start for 8 minutes or so and 80
watts to run.

I have had very good luck with these. Cut my fuel bill by around a 1/3 when
I installed it.

If anyone finds any good, efficient AC cooling (read as cheap) let me know!

Later,
Bob

Greetings Dan,

Ecotherm and Empire both make nice direct vent (thru the wall) LP space
heaters that require no electricity. They are fairly(?) efficient and
at least the Ecotherm (available through Schott, though not in the
catalog) draws combustion air from the exterior of the building. Can't
help you with the cooling -- Kurt Nelson
