Dead PV Modules [RE-wrenches]

 In 1999 we replaced [36] Kyocera LA51 on one system alone. The wire traces
 had burnt through to the back in some cases, and lots of bubbles on the
back
 substrate. Several dealers tried to say that it was lightning damage. It
was
 not lightning damage.
 In 2000 we replaced 4 more LA 51 on another system. Same conditions.
 Output varied from 0 to 0.51 amps output in full sun at 9,000 ft el. with
 clear conditions.

 Kyocera was very helpful and quite prompt in their response to the matter
of
 replacement in both cases.
